From TEDxJabi to watching the adaptation of Wale Ogunyemi’s Queen Amina of Zazzau powered by Jos Repertory Theatre:

Last weekend was exciting for Daniel, Purity and I. We practically spent the entire day at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Abuja Hotel. It afforded us an opportunity to bond after a very busy week.

My big sister, Chinyere Obi-Obasi taught me that the best legacy I can keep for my children is not the things I buy for them with money. The best legacy is the precious moments that we spend together enjoying causes that appeal to us and in so doing, learning, unlearning and re-learning from each other.

Parents, make time to craft joyous moments with your children. Do not leave them at the mercy of technology and the TV screen. You do not need to break the bank. Buy a chess game, learn how to play it and teach them. Buy a monopoly game and use the fun moments of play to teach them stuff about money.

If your work schedule permits, ditch the morning school bus. The early drive to school with the children strapped comfortably in their seat belts while you take the wheel gives you a heavenly experience.

Meanwhile, the children met Charly Boy and their excitement was just palpable.
