It is not every day that you come across selfless volunteers in Nigeria. It is a thing of joy to see Nigerians walk the talk from posting social media updates to rolling up their sleeves to ensure that no one is left behind. This is the true case of the Iso Bassey led campaign in Calabar, Nigeria. He galvanised young Nigerians on the platform of Cornerstone Leadership Inspiration and Transformation Foundation to undertake a renovation project in a public school in Calabar which involved raising funds and volunteers to renovate a classroom block.

A picture is said to be worth more than a thousand words. I dare say that a video is worth more than a million words. Watch the brief video that tells the story of this project from conception to fundraising to completion.

I celebrate every young Nigerian that contributed to this project. It is about time that the spirit of volunteering is woken in every corner of our dear nation. You can also be of help by sharing this video to your friends and family. It is way beyond the fleeting pleasure of celebrating individuals. It is a right step in ensuring that our children who we are wont to say are the leaders of tomorrow, stay in school and enjoy the learning experience in the best of environment. Thank you Iso and every member of the team that contributed to the fruition of this.

Yes! There is a whole world of difference that volunteering can make to community development in Nigeria
