Ali Rowghani, the Chief Operating Officer of Twitter, Inc. had announced via the tweet shown below that he is leaving the company.

Rowghani joined Twitter in 2010 after nine plus years as Chief Financial Officer and later Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning at Pixar Animation Studios. He had earlier worked as an associate at McKinsey & Co. He had recently sold about 300,000 shares of his Twitter holding at a handsome profit of about $9.9 million.
Rowghani was the Chief Financial Officer of Twitter, Inc. from March 2010 to December 2012 before moving on to become the Chief Operating Officer since December 2012. He holds a B.A. in International Relations and

Twitter Inc. has equally acknowledged his departure in this regulatory filing dated June 12, 2014:
“Effective today, Ali Rowghani has resigned from his position as the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of Twitter, Inc. (“Twitter”). Mr. Rowghani will continue to be a Twitter employee and act as a strategic advisor to the CEO. Twitter does not intend to hire a replacement for the COO role, and all of Mr. Rowghani’s operating responsibilities will be assumed by other members of the Twitter management team.”
